Coloquio DI: "JVO (Japanese Virtual Observatory) Representation of ALMA Science Data Product"

Resumen: Telescope time is precious for any astronomical observatories. Astronomers request telescope time to get scientific data for their own science. Reuse of such scientific data is one of the best way to raise the science output from the observatory without consuming extra telescope time. However, it was quite difficult for astronomers to judge whether the data is usable for their own science case before downloading it. In the case of ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter-Submillimeter Array), size of the science data product is steadily increasing, and hence downloading the data for just checking is a real burden. Here I present our web-based application (WebQL2) to evaluate ALMA science data. I'll demonstrate how the performance of the system is even the server runs in Japan.
